Radiothon Support

Some consider radio the original social media as it was the first system for delivering real-time information to the masses to create a common experience.

There is no doubt that the commercial radio industry faces real challenges in maintaining its position of dominance for an audience in transition, but broadcast radio still serves an important role as the voice of the local community. It is this connection that makes a relationship with local radio so vitally important.

Point of ingestion.

Over time, the sheer number of events revealed that a successful on-air fundraising effort requires the right broadcast partner, the right strategy, and the authentic passion and commitment of the radio station and talent.

The changes in the radio industry present challenges that often make the correct execution difficult – but NOT impossible. And this is where I can help.

From the beginning, I can consult on Strategic Planning for your event. This includes Promo and Story Production Services and Social Media Integration prior to your event, and on-site Talent Coaching and assistance in execution.

No matter where you’re located, I can work with your organization to help you establish a new event, consult an existing broadcast event, or I can help you utilize radio in other ways to benefit your nonprofit, your broadcast partner, and your key corporate supporters.

Just let me know when you’re ready to talk.

I’ve worked with stations in nearly every major ownership group as well several small and family owned-radio stations.

    • CBS Radio

While working for CBS Radio in 2001, I was afforded the opportunity to produce a radiothon – an on air fundraising event – for two Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in St. Louis – Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. That two and half day broadcast raised over $326,000 dollars. Shortly after that, I began supporting additional radio events in cities around the United States and Canada.

During my 13 years supporting children’s hospitals, I directly consulted events in about 50 cities and provided creative services for over 300 radio stations each year for the program. These events collectively generated nearly $500 million in revenue.
